Marco Dog Park
Roseville's first dog park, was opened in 1997. Marco is named
after a six-year-old Belgian Malinois, who was a Roseville Police K-9, shot while on duty during a drug raid in June 1996. Marco
had served with Officer Allison of the Roseville Police Department
for two years. There is a plaque in his honor displayed at the
Roseville City Police Department.

The fenced, three
acre park has a large grassy area for dogs to run around freely
off-leash. The park has benches, shade trees, water
fountain, and small wading pools for your pooch to stay cool. The park is in a ravine, several feet lower than
the street and surrounding properties, so it is possible you
might miss it if you're
not looking carefully.

Dogs using the park must be licensed and
current on all vaccinations. Dogs who are ill or are in heat
are not allowed.
Please keep your leash with you at all times.
Dogs showing any type of aggression must be put on a leash, and or
removed from the park. RDOG provides free dog waste bags at four
dispenser locations around the
park. Owners are expected to pick up after their dogs
and use the provided waste receptacles. There is a portable
toilet
at the park for human use. The park is
closed Wednesdays from dawn to 3:30 pm for weekly maintenance.
The park is subject to closure In the winter since the ravine
doubles as a flood control reservoir.
Marco Dog Park is located at 1800 Sierra Gardens
Drive, near Douglas Boulevard.
