Traveling with your Pooch
While pet friendly accommodations are constantly increasing, they don't always have nearby areas you can take your pooch for exercise and great sniffs.  The below accommodations do!

Bassett’s Station Motel – Sierra City, CA (530) 862-1297
www.bassetts-station.com  Close to Sardine Lake (summer) and Wild Plum Campground (winter) for great areas to walk.

Willow Creek Campground & RV Park - Camptonville, CA  (877) 901-7191
www.willowcreekcampground.net  A creek runs through this property with cabins of various sizes, RV and campsite spaces.  Quiet with trails to explore.

Gray Eagle Lodge – Graeagle, CA 1-800-635-8778
www.grayeaglelodge.com  Has a swimming hole right on the property.  Many trails to hike (easy to difficult levels) that start from the property.

Mountain Home Ranch - Calistoga, CA  (707) 942-6616
www.mountainhomeranch.com  A secluded country style bed and breakfast and group retreat center in the heart of California’s beautiful Sonoma and Napa Valleys.  They have over 340 acres of hiking trails, two swimming pools, tennis court, basketball, volleyball, labyrinth, game room, a lake, b-b-q pit and picnic area.  Cabins of various sizes are dated but clean, and decks have dog gates!

Marina Hotel – San Francisco, CA  (415) 921-9406
www.marinamotel.com  8 Blocks from Crissy Field (off leash beach and grassy areas).  SF has many parks that allow dogs off leash (no fences though). 2 blocks from Chestnut Street with many dog friendly stores and restaurants.


Inn at Truckee – Truckee, CA  (888) 773-6888 
www.innattruckee.com  Has a creek behind the property for pooches to walk along and play in.  Trail along the Truckee River.

Tahoma Meadows B & B – Tahoma, CA (866) 525-1553
www.tahomameadows.com  Nice trail nearby at Meeks Bay.  Look for the log cabin at the start of the trail.

Columbia Gem Motel – Columbia, CA (866) 436-6685
www.columbiagem.com  Nice grounds to walk around, and close to Historical Columbia State Park which has trails to walk with your pooch.  Or you can walk down the sidewalks of this historical gold rush town.   


Santa Maria Inn - Santa Maria, CA (800) 462-4276  
www.santamariainn.com  Near Santa Barbara, treats at check-in and anytime you walk through the lobby.  5 acres of hotel grounds for walking and near Waller Dog Park.  They only allow dogs 30 lbs. and under.
