Microchip Clinic
|
Don't risk losing your
pet if they get lost and lose their ID tags.
Microchips are a permanent form of pet identification. The microchip
ID,
about the size of a grain of rice, is injected under the skin
Because its important that you and your pet are reunited, only
microchips that are compatible with universal scanners found in
veterinary clinics and shelters
are used.
Once your pet has had the microchip implanted, you then enroll your
pet's microchip ID # in the Microchip Animal Recovery
database with your name, address and phone number. In the event
your pet becomes lost, an animal shelter can scan for your pet's
microchip ID and identify your pet and get in touch with you.
It is important to note that the information you give to the
database is only good if it's current. It's up to you to
update any new phone number or address.
