Nancy
Dougan, owner of A Dog For All Seasons Dog Training
has lived with dogs all her life and was only 10 when she took
over training the family dogs- several German shepherds, dachshunds, various
All-Americans. Since then she has been active in all types of
activities involving animals.
-
Raised,
trained and showed Quarter horses successfully for over 20
years.
-
Completed
CITA I and CITA II (Consultant Instructor Training Academy)
classes given by Trish King of the Marin SPCA, a nationally
known speaker and respected behaviorist. These classes
included canine ethology and body language, dog aggression,
recognizing and interpreting different types of behavior, dog
breeds and breed types and their behavioral profiles, learning
theory, how dogs learn, clicker training and professional
standards for dog trainers.

A
member of APDT- the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, working
towards Certification- CPDT

Has
been heavily involved in Australian Shepherd rescue for over 6
years: fostering, re-homing, evaluating and temperament
testing dogs for
Northern
California Australian Shepherd Rescue
(NCAR).

Multiple
titles earned in Obedience trials : multiple HITs and
placements in Gaines regional & national obedience
competitions.
-
Multiple
titles earned in Agility with several dogs, in all venues: AKC,
ASCA, NADAC, USDAA.
