Want your pooch to be a canine good citizen?
Then come have your pooch pass The American Kennel Club's Canine
Good Citizen (CGC) test. The CGC Program
is a certification program that is designed to reward all (purebred
and mixed breed) dogs who have good manners at home and in the
community. The CGC Program is a two-part program that stresses
responsible pet ownership for owners and basic good manners for
dogs. All dogs who pass the 10-step CGC test may order a
certificate from the American Kennel Club.
Why should your dog have a CGC certificate?
Both purebred and mixed breeds can achieve this title and are often
more welcome in public settings. Many working dogs, such as
assistance dogs or therapy dogs are required to earn the Canine Good
Citizen title. You may also order dog
tags, bandanas, and patches to let people know your pooch is a
Canine Good Citizen!
No more dates for 2012. Check back in
the spring of 2012.
