RDOG Outing to Independence
Trail |
When: July 17th (Sunday)
Location: West Trail - 5.5 miles from Nevada City
Time: Meet at the trail entrance at 10:00 am
Bring: Sack lunch for you, treats for your dog, water, towels |
 The
main entrance to the Trail is on Highway 49, near the South Yuba
River bridge. Parking is available beside the road, with several
marked disabled spaces.
Look for the river rock retaining wall.
(This trail is wheelchair accessible.)
Highlighting the West Trail is a waterfall from Rush Creek and a
swimming hole one mile from the
entrance. (RDOG will stop at this point, but you can go further.)
There are picnic tables,
outhouses, and benches along the
way to rest.
Dogs must be leashed and of course don't forget to bring poop bags.
