Come join us on our next outing where we will be venturing out to a local recreation area in Rancho Cordova.  Everyone meet at the Mather Lake parking lot.

 

From there we will take the path to the right of the dam.  The path is flat, but not considered wheelchair accessible.  The trail meanders along the lake, and then through the fields and back.  Those wanting to go longer can go back around the left side of the lake.  I believe dogs can go swimming, but there are lots of fishermen, so please be respectful.
 
There are lots of picnic tables around the lake and there is a central picnic area with restrooms. 


Directions: 
From Hwy 50 go on Sunrise South, then right on Douglas, go to Eagle's Nest Road, hang a left, then pull into the driveway, pay and park.
