Sierra Discovery Trail is quite a gem.  Wheelchair accessible trail with almost all flat walking.  This one mile interpretive trail loops around various trees, and plants.  There are benches along the way if one gets tired, a creek with plenty of places for human wading and dog paddling.  There's even a 12 foot water fall.  The trees make the trail mostly shady.  For pictures of the area and trail, please go to http://www.nevadacountythingstodo.com/hiking/sierradiscovery/

Directions:  From I-80 take Highway 20 west.  Go about four miles and then turn on Bowman Lake Road.  Go about a half mile, then pass by the group picnic site,  and turn into the trail parking lot. 

We will meet at 11 am at the information Gazebo.

(It should take less than 1.5 hours to arrive from Roseville.)

After the walk, we will saunter over to the shaded picnic tables for lunch.
